What is CETA?
CETA: The Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement
The most aggressive and ambitious trade agreement ever negotiated by Canada, The Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) will boost trade between the two regions keeping the middle class in mind. This agreement will make it cheaper to import goods you already enjoy, passing the savings onto the consumer. For example, duties that are paid for clothes and shoes from the EU are currently up to 18%. Those will now be 0% duty.
Europe is Canada’s second largest trading partner, while the United States still stands as its first largest trading partner.
