Congestion Surcharges Announced for Asia-Pacific Trade Lanes
Carriers have announced new surcharges for the trans-pacific route from Asia and the Indian Subcontinent. These surcharges have arrived in light of historic inbound container volume from Asia to west coast ports. Congestion surcharges will become effective June 1, 2021.
Also effective June 1, 2021 will be chassis charge increases for boxes traveling from Asia to the United States Midwest.
