G20 Summit affects Cargo Traffic
With the G20 Summit in Hangzhou on September 4-5, many core areas in China have been facing some traffic control.
Areas that are being affected include Hangzhou, Huzhou, Jiaxing, and Shaoxing.
Starting this month, container trucks can’t enter the above districts without a permit issued by the government.
Key notices per transportation management rule for G20 Meeting include:
Starting in August:
- The transportation of chemical, flammable, explosive products and DG goods in express service and big cargo vehicles are prohibited to enter Zhejiang province.
August 24 – September 6
- Factories in Hangzhou will be banned from production and container trucks will be stopped, as well.
- Cargo deliveries, cargo vehicles, and production are prohibited in the city.
- During the G20 Meeting Period: The chemical, flammable, explosive products, and DG goods are prohibited in all areas.
Penalty: CNY80,000-100,000 plus detention of 15 days.
