Hanjin says it has cash to pay for unloading US cargo
A South Korean bankruptcy court has approved the use of $10 million by Hanjin Shipping to unload four of its stranded ships off the US West Coast, a US bankruptcy court in New Jersey heard Friday.Hanjin ships in Australia, Singapore, and China have been arrested after companies owed money requested authorities seize the vessels. An attorney for two fuel companies said Hanjin owed about $260,000 in unpaid bills and that they had prompted federal authorities to seize the Hanjin Montevideo in Long Beach in recent days.
