HTS Changes 

The World Customs Organization has published new amendments to the Harmonized System Nomenclature, which will enter into force January 1, 2017. Changes include some commodities from the following sectors: agricultural, chemical, wood, textile, base metal, machinery, transport, and other.

Accepting Applications

The FDA’s Voluntary Qualified Importer Program (VQIP), which is a trusted trader program for food importers, will begin accepting applications on January 1, 2017.
