Marvin Jon Cast leads Scarbrough’s operations from Scarbrough’s offices in Amsterdam and Rotterdam. He focuses on finding innovative and efficient freight forwarding solutions for Scarbrough’s clients, while investing significant time working closely with the operations team in the U.S. to raise the service level for all clients. Together with his team, he takes great pride in providing top-class customer service and finding unique solutions for each client’s specific needs.
Before joining Scarbrough, he and his wife owned two companies, a transport company and a freight forwarding company, which grew to a team of 50 people. He has more than 20 years of experience in international logistics and freight forwarding and holds a bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Economics from Haarlem University of Applied Sciences.
He was born and raised in Amsterdam and now lives just outside the city. He has two children, aged 18 and 17. His vision for Scarbrough International (NL) is to grow into a stable and well-recognized European forwarder under the Scarbrough Global group, built on the values of one Scarbrough Family. As he always says: “Hope is postponed disappointment, so make sure you seize and grab your opportunities.”
